In April this year, we started our research project. Started and started? Actually much of the time until now has been about a lot of administrative preparation work. We have started this blog, we have started a so-called “Safe box”, we have carried out and had an ethics application approved. We have familiarized ourselves with GDPR and drawn up a data management plan, i.e. a lot is about data security, how do we handle data in a safe and correct way. In other words, there has been a lot of peripheral work that has not really been direct research.
But, now the real fun begins. We will revise our website for the project and we have started the concrete work with the various sub studies. This includes, among other things, literature studies, piloting instruments, and the Q-method regarding quality. What unify the research project are the research objectives not the data. Therefore, it is natural that sub-studies progress differently due to the fact that they look different.
Furthermore, we have now started our work to prepare for conference participation and we have set our sights on two different conferences in particular, namely the NERA Conference 2023, 15. – 17. March in Oslo: Digitalization and Technologies in Education – Opportunities and Challenges there we intend to participate with a Roundtable (if we get our paper accepted). We also intend to participate in Earli 2023, in Thessaloniki and the University of Macedonia, Greece: Education as a hope in uncertain times.
And of course, our research is about hope as well as opportunities and challenges – for university educators, because their professional role may be renegotiated in a post-pandemic hybrid work environment.
